I can’t believe my little sister is getting married. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding Nat!

My sister Marla has the greatest bunch of kids. I had tons of fun hanging out with them when I went to California this spring. Apparently they are my greatest fans too. They check my blog as well as my husband’s every day looking for something new. Since I’ve fallen off the planet lately as far as blogging goes I have some pretty disappointed little fans. So, Tayla, Calissa, Caleb and Derek, this one’s for you! Love you guys!

While editing these my son, Liam, asked if Brooke could come over and play. This broke my heart! Brooke is one of Liam’s cousin’s in Alaska. Liam and Brooke always had so much fun hanging out at grandma’s back in AK. We miss you Brooke! Oh, BTW I don’t know why but my blog totally washes out my pics. Someday I’ll figure it out or find a better program. Any suggestions anyone?

Can you feel the love in the air? These two were over the moon into each other. My husband came along to assist me for the shoot. Afterwards we went to sushi and reminisced when we were young and crazy in love. Now we’re not so young and crazy busy with kids and life. It was way fun to have Vince come along for the shoot. I have to give him partial credit for the last post because it wasn’t just me who shot the wedding, Vince shot along side me. It was really fun! We already have 2 weddings in the next 3 months to shoot together. Will we be a photography team in the future? Who knows, stay tuned.

This weekend I attended my brother’s wedding in the California, Oakland Temple. I had the opportunity of being their photographer as well. This was my first wedding so naturally I was very nervous. I hope they both love the outcome. Congrats Ry!

This morning Liam decided he was going to be Luke Skywalker. I helped him get together his outfit which was based on an action figure of his. He then wanted me to take a picture, which is a rare thing for him to ask. Liam had a pretty exciting week. He got his first stitches, a right of boyhood. This was my first stitches experience too. I don’t know what’s more traumatic , getting hurt or seeing your child hurt. Probably the latter. He was real trooper though and proudly shows off his “frankenstein scar,” If you’re not squeamish you can check out my husband’s blog which goes into detail with gorey pics but I’ll spare you.
Oh, and this is why I don’t buy dishes that I love. Little miss Meara, my little helper, is a little too helpful and tries put the dishes away from the dishwasher. So naturally I grabbed the camera when she dropped a plate. Hey, how could I get too mad at this cutie…

I shot this session for my 15 year old niece ( yes 15, so stay back boys!!) Shelby from last July and I’m finally editing her pictures. I’m sorry Shelby. I feel terrible, terrible. Isn’t she gorgeous?

Here’s some pics I found from this summer too…

Taken by my good friend Laurel.
I miss you Alaska!!
