I couldn’t resist putting my logo just above her little pointing finger!

I swear, the hardest part of my job is whittling down images from my sessions to 30-50 images. There were way too many cute one’s here. Olivia was probably the easiest 1 year old that I’ve ever photographed. For starters, she wasn’t walking yet so that was helpful. She was so calm and engaged in the camera. Just a beautiful girl too. Her parents were the nicest people who absolutely adored their little girl.

easter – penman style

It was so hilarious, my first son kept on accidentally dropping his eggs that he was dyeing. I finally got some bandaids out to cover up his eggs boo boos.

This is a progression into my daughter’s room Easter morning. First I got on the floor to get a good wide angle shot of her dress then I saw her toe poke out and then her little face. I then peered over the crib to see the smiliest little face!

Alright so I had plans to take some great pics of the kids in their Easter garb but the day got away from me. These were taken right after we got home from church, while we were trying to finish up preparing Easter dinner, and as guests were walking through the door. Oh well!!

my belly gone public

I have a new goal to add more random things in this blog besides just favorites pictures from client sessions. This is my pregnant belly on a magazine that my husband spotted the other day. My husband sells his images to istock in his spare time (which in next to none these days). I have to admit that even though I consented to this I feel a little weirded out about MY belly on a magazine!

Fine art canvas gallery wraps

Filed under: Uncategorized — webmaster @ 5:01 pm

I’ve been telling clients by word of mouth about this but now it’s crunch time. This month I have been offering 25%-30% off on canvas gallery wraps. So, for those who have this on their list but haven’t gotten around to it, this is the time. I will accept orders for this sale until March 29th. I know that I have at least 3 canvases I’m going to buy, each one to showcase my three  little children. Canvases are a great way to have both a great piece of art in your home and showcase your child. Anyways, time is ticking.  Tick…tick…tick…

It was so fun to see Alex again. He has the most handsome face. Poor little guy was not feeling too great during the shoot and wanted to only sleep. Fortunately we were able to squeeze some goods ones out. I hope these tide Alex’s parents over until they get back from their trip in a couple weeks. Hope you guys have fun, I’m jealous, jealous!!

3 month old little Anika has grown so much since her newborn pictures. She was not having it the first time around but she just oozed personality this time. I had soooo much fun with this shoot. Her mom brought lots of hats, colorful hats might I add. The colors are just so fun, I couldn’t make any of these black and white. The last picture just cracks me up.

I love, love, love this pic. She looks soooo serene and peaceful.
I wish my 5 month old would let me get this kind of sleep!

Can you believe Kaitlins mom knitted this cute sweater set?
You cant see it very well in this picture but on the back is a
crocheted symbol that means protection. I hope I got that right Nikki!

I couldn’t resist this shot!

This storyboard gives a glimpse of how Kaitlin felt about the
whole photo shoot thing but I think Dad handled it well.

This little girl had neck muscles of steal! Which was amazing since she was less than 2 weeks old.

Grandma was up visiting her new grand daughter and came to the shoot.
I love this 3 generations of women shot.

I always feel honored as I look through my lens and capture such important milestones in other’s lives. I always hope that my images strike emotions and make memories last forever.

I took these awhile ago and it was fun to look through them again. I had a really fun time with Nikki at her maternity session. She was hesitant at first whether she even wanted to do pregnancy pictures. I don’t think she regrets it now. Little Kaitlin was not a happy camper during her session but we got some great candids with Dad. Kaitlin came back in much better spirits a couple days later for a quick shoot since she was not having it the first time around.

Gabe was an absolute cutie and so cooperative which is a treat since more than not I have to work to get to the pliable stage where they’ll sleep through anything. At one point I picked up the platter which he was sleeping all curled up on and literally carried him to another backdrop. I hope you love these as much as I do Jen!

I have had many people asking me about my upcoming move. Yes we are moving to Austin Texas but not until the end of the summer. I recently started back up again this week and am now accepting new clients. It was a nice little break but I’m antsy to get going again doing what I love. Keep in mind that my main day for session is Saturday and they go very quick so please schedule at least 4 weeks early.
