Okay, so I’m obsessed with taking pictures of my daughter. Ahh, the perks of being a photographer!  I love that I caught her smiling.

This was probably the last warm autumn day Alaska is going to give us before it dumps snow on us. I’m glad that my good friend who is a talented photographer encouraged me to get out of the house and do a photo shoot with Meara amongst the autumn leaves. I love this pink little chair that my friend lent me. Too bad she’d taking it to Michigan in a week when she moves. More importantly, I’m going to miss my friend and her family. It’s hard to find good friends like them!! We’ll just have to take our next family vacation in Michigan!!

Look at those loooooong fingers!! My little Meara is a champion sleeper and was absolute putty for this shoot. I’m in girl heaven these days and am trying to hold on to every bit of this precious newborn stage before it slips away. It seems to go faster and faster with every child.

The Biss family was such a fun couple to photograph. I’m excited for them and their new journey with their upcoming arrival of their daughter. I can’t wait to meet her in a couple weeks!

Our little Meara Jordan came to our family on October 1st 2007. She was the quickest birth yet. We arrived at the hospital at 3:20 pm and Meara entered the world at 4:24 pm. She came too fast for an epidural and was my first natural birth to my dismay. She’s such a sweet little girl with two proud big brothers who are so excited to have a little sister.
