The birthday girl, bubble blower, and apple pie maker…

Filed under: Uncategorized — webmaster @ 2:01 am

Where has this past year gone? How can my little girl already be one? What a fun year it’s been to see my little girl grow from a sweet newborn to this busy, curious, happy, snuggly, momma’s girl. This picture below is sooo Meara minus the excited snorting sound she likes to make. This is a blurb of her birthday and also a peek into a normal busy day. No wonder my blog is neglected!!

still here

Filed under: Uncategorized — webmaster @ 5:21 am

Yes, I’m still here. Our move to Austin, Texas has been put off until early January.  I’m so happy that I get to stay and have one last white Christmas. I will be closing up the studio early November so that I can enjoy the holidays with my family and prepare for our move. August was an insanely busy month for me as was the whole summer. I’ve been telling people that we were heading out of state at the end of summer and my blog has been pretty quiet so I think a lot of people assume I’m gone already. I have 2 openings this month and 6 openings in October. Call or email me to schedule an appointment.

Here are some of my favorite sessions this past month…

My parallel universe children

Filed under: Uncategorized — webmaster @ 11:40 am

I hope you love these Kelly. I’m sure you’ve been pulling your hair all week wondering if any turned out (like most parents do).

Kelly’s children are about the same age as mine. It was really weird as I got a glimpse into their personalities and noticed that my children had very similiar personalities to theirs all in the same order. Our oldest boys are more serious, our second boys are very charismatic, and our little girls are very happy but busy, busy. Even my husband who peeked in for a bit agreed on the weird parallel universe thing going on.

Mom said she wanted to capture her 1 year old’s “spongebob teeth.” I didn’t notice spongebob teeth but I sure noticed her piercing blue eyes.

My husband was behind me with a crow puppet pretending to eat my hair.  Sometimes I pull in the clowns when things need to be mixed up a bit.

The stars somehow aligned this week and we were able to get out of town and enjoy the sun that Alaska has finally given us lately. During the drive to the Kenai I kept thinking how beautiful Alaska is and how I’m not going to see this gradeur in Texas when we move. This is when I turned to my husband and said, “This is a I love Alaska day.”

shelby sneak peak

Filed under: Uncategorized — webmaster @ 1:30 am

Okay, so the Penman family has 21 grandchildren on my husband’s side. All are boys except for six girls (this is why I feel extremely blessed to have my little girl). What the Penman girls lack in numbers, they exceed in beauty.  Here’s a couple of my 14 year old niece Shelby, isn’t she just striking?!! I’ll share more of my favs later.

I had so much fun with my nieces doing this shoot. Aren’t they just so gorgeous! The younger of the two sisters, is only 13 years old. Can you believe that? My favorite part is when my niece asked some dude who drove up on his Harley if she could take a pic on his bike for her boyfriend who races motorcyles.

I have a billion other pics that I loved, I’ll have to share them in another post.
